George Skepton

Raised in Baltimore, MD

Lives & works in Owings Mills, MD

Award winning artist and photographer,

George Skepton is a painter and photographer in Baltimore, Maryland, a father of two grown children and a grandfather of two. He is a retired: electrical engineer who specialized in managing large amounts of data related to highly complex systems, internet and database developer, and a photographer. In his retirement, he spends most of his time painting in various mediums and works with various digital manipulations of his paintings and photographic images. He shares a home with his life partner, Kristie. 

He is a perennial student and in constant pursuit of new art techniques, technolgies and styles and constantly confers and shares with other artists on-line and at galleries and classes. He also enjoys cooking and gardening.  


He changed his avocation in photography to a part time vocation and then in 2015  began painting in watercolor and other media and began creating more imaginative works.  No matter what the medium, George’s favorite subject matters are serious portraits, fanciful images and people (mostly women), and modern digital manipulations and abstractions. He works in watercolor, alcohol ink, and acrylics.
